Hot Carousel showing on K2 Items

I am setting up a website using the Cinema template (which is super) using the Hot Install. When I click on the 'read more' link on the front page box showing 'Jessica Biel in The Tall Man (by Pascal Laugier), fear takes a new shape' it brings me to that K2 Item - but is also shows the Hot Carousel and THIS WEEK'S MOST POPULAR HD TRAILERS section. If I click on 'read more' link in the box for 'Resident Evil Afterlife 3D is coming in the cinemas this September' the Carousel and TRAILERS section do not show. How do I disable the Carousel and trailer sections from showing when I go to a K2 item.

Use module assignment?

The Carousel module assignments are set for Blog Page,(K2) Main Menu - and Home, Top Menu. That is the same for all K2 Items (the Category is Demo)- but one front page item shows the Carousel and the other does not when you click on 'read more'. There must be a way to turn off the Carousel and HD Trailers modules so they don't show on the K2 articles.

Is assignment type set to "Only on a pages selected"

Yes, if you look at your own Cinema Demo template the issue I raised shows exactly the same - I used the Hot Installation so I've obviously imported this into my template. So if you look at the settings on the template maybe you can see whats different between the two front boxes I mentioned and work out why they show the K2 Items differently.

Thing is that joomla works like that. If no module assignment for some page it will take settings from parent. There is component called 'advanced module manager' that can be used to set assignment based on URL part regex expression.
