MULTILANGUAGE INSTALLATION On Cinema Template was created by Giorjoom
Hello Milos and Staff
Can you please write here the steps for everybody to CORRECTLY install the multilanguage plugin that would display the flag on top menu? Thank you. Tutorials online has no K2 or template menus...
in example
- install language in extensions/manage/install languages (fill correctly choosen language joomla parameters).
- create choosen language in extensions/content languages
- create menu ....??? (here I'm not sure what to do)
- create article....
- create category...
(I erased all the job already done on the website because installation of multilanguage gave me bad results on smartphones. Hope will get some help as I searched in the Template zip files but found no specific guide. Thank you)

I followed step by step the tutorial here above but at point 19 of the tutorial starts to be different. Don't know if it is because of joomla 3.6 or because of the template (which is obviously not in this "general-joomla" tutorial). Still can't figure out...

The point 19 is about adding a new menu item (by making new or, better, by copying existing). This is not related to Joomla version nor to template you are using. Please try again.
Thanks,
Milos

It is hard to explain how frustrating joomla is to me. Will jump as soon as possible to other CMS but now I have to work this out.
A usefult thing for me and for future dudes with the same problem could be this
COMPARISON BETWEEN VIDEO INSTRUCTIONS (3.x on plain joomla) with CINEMA TEMPLATE
- minute 5.21: let's assume that EVERY STEP IS OK
- minute 5.27:
thus I went to Menus/All Menu Items and selected Home
- minute 5.56 :
I stop here as the rest is even more different. And wrong. Please provide an example based on CINEMA TEMPLATE. Thank you.

I will repeat, it's not related to template.
On the first pair on screen shots, the tutorial shows Menu Items, while your screen shows Menus.
On the second pair of screen shots, everything is identical (except different menu items on each site, of course).
On the third pair of screen shots, the tutorial menu item type is Featured Articles. You are editing wrong menu item which type is alias.
You have two solutions, to spend some time in learning Joomla deeply as making a multilanguage site is not so easy.... Or to hire a developer to make this site for you.
Good luck,
Milos
