Messages after installation

I have a notice in the backend that I have 5 unread messages after installation. When clicking on it it says that all messages have been read although I haven't read them. How can I get them to appear?

These are old messages from Joomla 3.9 and earlier. There's nothing useful in these messages. If all the messages are hidden and you still get the info about the unread messages, try clearing the browser's cache.

Also, there was a bug in the very first version of our HotStart installations (with Joomla 4.0.0). We fixed it in the next revision. I hope you are not using the old version. If you are starting a new website, redownload and reinstall the HotStart just to be sure.
