Change Virtuemarts FRONTPAGE to a product category

My problem is that i customized product categories, and want one of those categories i created (bestsellers) to be the default when you open section products. Now what appears is "featured products" as default and in "menu item type" i don't have an option to choose that category I created. So I was wondering if there is a way to redirect products to bestsellers or a way to change the front page from "featured products" to "bestsellers".
I tried with "menu item alias" but doesn't appear the product category menu to choose one of its items.
I am working locally so I am sorry I can't give you a link , so I attached screenshots which show the thing.

What happens when you change menu item type to Product Category Layout and select that category in that menu item settings?
