Virtuemart upgrading deleted all what was inside

hello, i tried to upgrade to last version of Virtuemart 2.0.22 i just got all the shop reseted... why these happen?
second question: i made a copy of the templates from drug_store to my_website now the website can't find many icons like virtuemart bag example.. and so on.

is there a place where should i change the path? thank you

You can not do just copy, you heed to edit templateDetails.xml,css files and all other files where default path is present in code

thank you, what about virtuemart? everytime we have an upgrading we should delete all products inside?

No, that is not requirement, and it should not happen. Only if you had some relay outdated VM like 2.0.8 because in that period until 2.0.14 VM had some updates that made serious problems.
