Menu was created by shirran
Hi Milos,
Is there a way of having a top menu button (like Properties) for the type instead of using the search bar.
I like the way the properties button displays all the items.
I would like to have a menu button called Homes that displays only Homes like the properties display, then one for Apartments etc.
If I copy category item properties and rename it Homes the content will not show all the options like info etc.
I thought if it did I could associate the relative articles to new catogory.
Regards
Trev

Hi Trev,

Unfortunately, this is currently not possible with Joomla custom fields. The Menu Item Type for the Custom Fields is still not available in Joomla. However, I believe it will become available in future versions of Joomla (probably not before Joomla 4).

However, you can categorize your properties in the categories. Template demo data contains only one category "Properties". You can create, in an example, two categories: Houses and Appartments. After that, you should edit each custom field in Content > Fields and add the new category to each field to make them available when you are editing articles from the new category.

Finally, you can create separate menu items for Houses and Appartments, the same way as we have Properties menu item in demo data of the template.

Best regards,
Milos
