Spam Email

Hi
This contact form still receives spam messages daily. Used hot start management template on Joomla 4. The captcha is in place. Have the latest version of Joomla 4 and php 8.3 and also turned on headers plugin but the form still gets hit by spam. Can google captcha be integrated or any other security be added to this extension? Or anything else I could try?

You should only try to change the security questions and add some more complex textual questions with textual answers, instead of the simple mathematical equations.

Same eperienced. but things work fine on standard Joomla mail, which is protected with captcha recaptcha. Can you make this module so that this filter is also used with hot simple contact?

Yeah, no matter what I tried, it got spammed. I had to use another module all together.

Google reCAPTCHA plugin is not a core Joomla plugin anymore. It's not included in the plain Joomla installation, as it was before. Therefore, we couldn't rely on this plugin in our module.

However, for your information, the Hot Simple Contact v1.1.0 is released today. It adds support for Google reCAPTCHA. You can add your reCAPTCHA Site Key and Secure Key in the module settings.
