Updating causes loss of data was created by Danimeeka
Hi,
When I install the latest Hot Swipe Carousel over my November 2021 installation, I lose all the data (images and text) for all slides. However the metadata (if that's what you call it) determining font colors, text position etc, is not lost.
Is there some way I can update to the latest version of Hot Swipe Carousel without losing data? I am updating before migrating the website to Joomla 4.
Thanks,
Julia.

Hello,
In order to allow an unlimited number of slides and also make slides management easier, we had to re-develop this module. Unfortunately, when you install the latest version, you will need to re-create all slides (select images and add text). So, the best is to keep the slide information somewhere before re-installing the plugin. Other parameters should be kept unchanged after the re-installation.
Regards,
Milos

OK, thanks Milos. Fortunately I work in a staging area and can simply copy from production. I like the slide management in the new Swipe Carousel by the way - very good changes.

Julia.
