Joomla 4 template install - Unable to detect manifest file.

Please help with how to resolve this error.

Please read our documentation that explains both template installation methods (with and without demo data).

If you are trying to install the template without demo data, please give me the name of the file you are trying to install.

sorry, left out the most important info, I had posted this in the ice cream category j4 template

without demo, upgrading existing site: hot_icecream4x.zip

I just installed the file on my test Joomla site (latest version 4.2.9). So, please try re-downloading the file. Or if it still doesn't work, you probably have a problem with folder permissions on your Joomla installation and you can't install any template or extension. Check this in System > System Information > Folder permissions.
