USING: Joomla 3.0.2

Gentlemen.
I posted questions hours ago and in that time was able to find some answers but now I'm ready to ditch this template and discourage others from buying it.

I'm wasting HOURS because there is a glitch.
Every time I attempt to update the demo articles with plain text (carrying no code with it) the code does this:

<div align="\&quot;center\&quot;" class="\&quot;clr\&quot;"><a href="\&quot;#top\&quot;" class="\&quot;scroll\&quot;"><img src="\&quot;images/top.png\&quot;" alt="\&quot;back\&quot;" to="\&quot;\&quot;" top="\&quot;\&quot;" /></a></div>

And even though the anchor code is at top of article, it will not function on the site!

EDITOR: It was using TinyMCE and do this so I updated to JCE for Joomla 3.0 and it's still doing exactly the same thing.

And I STILL cannot locate where I change "ENVIRONMENT FOR ALL SEASONS."

This is a gorgeous template but am beginning to feel it's not worth the time or the money. Please tell me I'm wrong. Give me some solutions! Attach a TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE for the problems that are coming up.

Thank you.

Path for changing the "ENVIRONMENT FOR ALL SEASONS."
Extensions >> Module Manager >> Heading

Path for changing the background image
CSS >> layout.css

I admit there are a few frustrations regarding this template and I have installed twice using the hotstart approach. I am getting to grips with it now and certainly would help if the author was a little more comprehensive with the documentation. The downloadable PDF covers only two topics; installation and the various extensions - it has really nothing to do with the template layout and modifications.

I am using Joomla 2.5.8

Thank you for your imput.

Milos was kind enough to respond about the header and I found the other solution about layout.css buried in the forum.

The excessive slash issue occurring in Article Manager apparently has to do with Joomla 3.0. This is the Help Center text I just sent to my hoster:

"Hi. Yesterday I paid $50 to have a Quickstart Joomla 3.0 template installed. As soon as I began working on it, it became "glitchy." I asked that it be re-installed. At first all was well but then it started having issues mostly in the Article Manager. After researching i discovered that:

"As experts explained elsewhere, this is due to the requirement of "magic quotes off" for Joomla 3.0."

I followed direction from here: forum.joomla.org/viewtopic.php?f=706&t=766329

but now I have a 500 Error. I removed what I had added but still have the error. I've lost a day and a half over this...very upsetting!

SOLUTION: I uploaded the same Quickstart template to the public_html root but the Joomla 2.5+ version. I cannot work with Joomla 3.0 because I cannot solve the issue. Can someone create another subfolder and install the 2.5 .zip template? "

So.
Hopefully with the 2.5 version I will be able to finally get going on the template.

It really is a clever and attractive template but without the proper documentation, I cannot recommend to anyone. Perhaps HotJoomla will fix that oversight.

POSTSCRIPT:

My hoster fixed the issue: "We changed the magic_quotes_gpc = off setting via PHP Variable Manager."

But now i have another.

NONE of the UP icons at bottom of each article are working!

<div align="center" class="clr"><a href="#top" class="scroll"><img src="images/top.png" alt="back" to="" top="" /></a></div>

Any ideas? Will post this as a separate issue and by the way, i cannot see how to close a discussion or mark as "Solved."

Stick with. The support on the site is good and I cannot see for any reason why the author will want anything less than you to be apply with the template
