Slideshow arrows stack order seems wrong was created by WWA

As you can see in these 2 screenshots the slideshow arrows stack on top of the top menu when scrolling. Don't you think they should scroll under? How would I fix this?

Yes, actually z-index can not be fitted right because it would break other things (parent elements placing) and it's almost unnoticeable thing.

I changed the z-index to 0 and it seem OK. Can you tell me what I've broken?
