Backing Up One Page site

I tried using Akeeba to back up my site. However I received an error message stating that I need to use PHP5.3.1. or later to install. Can you please assist? Is there a backup/restore tool out there that is compatible with the version?

Probably older versions of Akeeba can work with older PHP , consult their support to provide download link for older version compatible with you PHP version.

Another approach is just to push your hosting provider not to be lazy and to update PHP on server.
