Multilingual menu SET first menu item as Component was created by zeroone
Hi
I have multilanguage setup, we have menu in English and Dutch. In order to set up we must selecte first menu item as COMPONENT , but because of this when we click on menu item content isn't showing ( scroll to anchor point) like other menu items.
How do we fix this?

Hello,
I've got the same problem myself. I would like to add 4 languages to the site. I've setup the languages and the menus but in order to set the language homepage it must be defined as component. When I do that all hell breaks loose. The menu stops working, no other pages are displayed and the site looks BAD.
In addition, one of my languages is Hebrew and for some reason the menu won't show up. English shows up but won't work.
Please help, this is a big issue.
Guy.

Hi Ivan,
Thank you for the quick response but unfortunately that's not the problem.
This is not the first time I've setup a multilingual site. I followed all steps needed to install the languages, setup menu items and duplicate the template for each language. I've enable the system plugin and associated the templates to the desired languages. I've got a fully functional multilingual setup.
The issue is with the template. The second I tried to make a change to the menu items (change from external link to single article - which I reversed with no luck) all the pages except the welcome article where gone. The menu looks bad on the English site and not at all on the Hebrew site.
I tried to mess around with the template back end but couldn't find the source of this issues.
My URLs are: insideout.guywalderonline.com/index.php/en/ for the English site and insideout.guywalderonline.com/index.php/he/ for the Hebrew site. If you wish to get a temporary admin access please provide an Email account which I can send it to.
Regards,
Guy.

First I see is menu not appearing. How did you setup that.
confirm to this rules:
-Menu module is set to all languages
-You have double menu items in menu one for each language
-Home page menu item is set to all languages
-You have language switcher module published
