How to set max.size of respnsive top wide image

How can i set a max. resolution for the wide images on hiome page. If we look on a big screen image is automatic resized, but w ewant to set a max. size.

Can you better description and perhaps post an link to your website so we could see that better

i mean the images on the home page , town-winter.jpg and town-summer.jpg.

We changed thes images to our own, but we want to limit the max resize ( responsive) . Because we have a imiga with people in it in the midle. On a big screen , large browser window, the image is resized and part of the people are not visable because of the responsive resize.
