Hello,
There are two images, one for retina screens is double resolution (/images/blog/room-@2x.jpg) and another for normal screens (/images/blog/room.jpg).

You don't need a smartphone. On your desktop computer, using Chrome, right click on any image, select Inspect and you'll see the image source(s) in page source code.
