PHP version outdated

Milos;
I am running PHP 7.2.34 which I need to update to 7.4, but when I do the template no longer functions.
How can i update the template folders without losing my CSS changes and other items?
Please advise.

This template is compatible with the PHP 7.4 and our demo is based on this version. Maybe you installed an additional component, module or plugin that’s not compatible with PHP 7.4. Please check this.
