Menu links set to "New Window Without Navigation" result in URL error

Hi,
When setting a Menu's Target Window to "New Window Without Navigation" it appends "&tmpl=component" to the URL which results in a 404 page opening. The "&tmpl=component" is added no matter the Menu Type selected (Single Article, URL etc.)

Are you able to advise?

I couldn't reproduce the issue on our demo server. For example, if I set the "About Theme" menu item to open in a new window without navigation, it opens normally. So, please clarify which menu item you are editing.

Thanks for you reply. I have attached a screenshot of the settings/menu item being used (attachment 1). I have also attached a screenshot (attachment 2) of what the URL looks like.

Sorry, I tried everything, even upgrading your website to the latest Joomla 4 version, but it still doesn't work. This was an option that was rarely used and this bug probably exists in Joomla 4.

On my server, I tested it on Joomla 5 and it worked well. So, I believe, upgrading to Joomla 5 will help. You can try this on a copy of this website.
