Changing template name from Hot_Tennis was created by kingston.clinton
Hi
My site is live however a friend informed me that the name of the template still sais Hot_Tennis and this will affect Search Engine ranking. How do I change it. I have attached a image of the home page and you can see the Hot_Tennis at the top of the screen. The site is www.ardetenniscoaching.co.za . I even changed the folder name on my domain hosts server but the site then went down.
In addition the site name currently displays as www.ardetenniscoaching.co.za/index.php/en/ , why does it show /index.php/en and not just www.ardetenniscoaching.co.za ?
Regards
Clinton

Hi,
You can use Export feature of the Sparky Framework to change template's name. Go to Template Manager and click "hot_tennis - Default" link. Then click the Export tab, enter new template name and click export. Download of new template will start. If you get just OK button, then exported template will be placed in /templates/hot_tennis/export folder. Zip it yourself.
Finally, install new template in your Joomla, make it default and delete old template. All Sparky options and layout will be preserved.
Thanks
Milos

Thanks Milos I will give it a try later on tonight.
Could you assist with the following issue:
If I type in the domain of my site www.ardetenniscoaching.co.za into Google it does not find anything except an external link I added. If I look at the URL it shows
www.ardetenniscoaching.co.za/index.php/en/ . Where does it get the /index.php/en. from and how to i change it so that it shows www.ardetenniscoaching.co.za only? Could this be the reason for Google not finding the domain?
I spoke to my host provider and they informed me to speak to you

Sorry, but I am not expert for SEO and Google. I recommend you to find and consult a good SEO expert. It's well known that Joomla could make duplicate links and this is not caused by our template. If you want to eliminate some duplicated URLs, you can use 301 re-directions.
Thanks
