Joomla 4 Ventures template incompatible with php 8.1 or above

Hi Milos,

I have migrated my client's website at marysawyerot.com.au to Joomla 4 - thanks for your help with my questions about this. I have just tried updating php to something more current than 8.0 but see I get a 500 fatal error. Is there something I can or should do about this?

Hello,

All our templates are fully compatible with 8.0, 8.1 and 8.2 at this moment. Our demo server where all these templates are installed is also based on PHP 8.2.

However, if your website is not functioning when you upgrade PHP, it's possible that some extensions (components, modules, plugins) you are using are not compatible with this PHP version. So, you would need to enable debugging and error reporting to find out which one actually makes the problem.

Thanks, that makes a lot of sense. I am going to be out of the office for the next week so I will investigate with error reporting and debugging switched on when I get back.
