Line 15 looks right:

I changed the value of 1000 to 500, but the Hot Image Slider went black. Changing it back to 1000 did not help. Had to reinstall from zip file to get it working again. Not sure what I did wrong as I followed your directions.

Maybe you accidentally deleted comma or something like that , be sure to only edit number. Also when you change js file you have to refresh page multiple times with ctrl+F5 so browser loads new js version.

Thank you for your reply. I deleted no comma or anything else. I simply changed the value from 1000 to 500. I did not refresh several times, however. Are you saying to refresh the Joomla ADMIN page several times or the Website? Please advise and thank you again! I love the slider!!!

If you change 1000 to 500 there is no reason for problem to be created.

Use notepad++ to edit file (free application) , maybe your editor messed up something
