When I try, it says:

Module Install: Another module is already using directory: "/*****/*****/****/**************/kennethmontgomerykeillor.com/modules/mod_hot_newsflash"

I'm concerned that if I uninstall the old version before installing the new one, I will lose all the information I entered. Will uninstalling the old module remove any information from the database?

Yes, it will. To keep data you should just overwrite files using FTP software. Otherwise, you need to uninstall old version first, but this will clear module parameters.

Where can we get v1.0.3? The download is still showing v1.0.1 when I redownloaded and installed.
