The plugin's parameter is changed OK, but your page is not properly formated to have more images per row. Your thumbnail images are in the container with class .gallery_container and the width of that container is set to 400px in file /templates/hot_photo_portfolio/css/template_css.css (around line 701).

I recommend you to edit the page in HTML view and delete this part:

<p>This gallery contains a selection of my landscape images</p>
</div>

You can also put this part at the bottom. Also, increase the width in CSS that I mentioned above.
