Transfer site J15 with sportal to J2.5 was created by bobgen
Hi, I have site with Joomla 1.5 and Sportal template. Now I try to transfer site to Joomla 2.5. I made hotstart on new folder Sportal25 template without demo data. Afther that, by means of SP Upgrade I transfered article, users, category etc. from old Joomla 1.5. I think all data was correct transfered.
But, problem was with template sportal. In list of installed site templates I can't to see sportal. I try again install sportal for J25. Answer was: installation correct, but again I cant to see new installed template sporta.
What can be wrong?
Regards.

The version of template that I installed was hot_sportal25.zip from 02.02.2012. I try and with version from 11.03.2012 (last on your server). Result is same: Installing template was successful, but I can't see template.

Just tried this and template "hot_sportal25.zip" installs normally on my Joomla 2.5.3. Check permissions of folders in your Joomla and make sure your Joomla is version 2.5.x.

I think, I found problem, but how resolve that?
If you made empty installation hot_sportal25_hotstart (without demo data), template sportal will not install. If you try install sportal25 on that empty Joomla, installation will be correct, but template is not on Joomla.
I try to install template from other producer on same empty Joomla, it runs.
If I try to install sportal25 with demo data, all working very well.
My problem is, because support for SP UPGRADE suggest to install empty Joomla 2.5 and import data from J1.5.
Can you test that solution for installing sportal25?
Regards.

Nothing to test. If you are installing HotStart, you MUST copy sample data. Otherwise, you can install plain Joomla and then install template and all the rest.
