Hot Ecommerce, Virtuemart not styling was created by seancss
Hi I have recently purchased Hot Ecommerce Virtuemart template,
The Joomla site works great apart from the Virtuemart pages,
The checkout stages don't look like the Demo site,
Neither Does the Cart popup after one clicks add to cart they are dull and not styled,
Also the Category have a plain style,
Before I posted I did a bit of research, I went into the Frontend of Virtuemart into configuration and and 'default template for your Shop' is set to Hot_ecommerce and so is 'Category Template' changing these to others such as "beez5" makes no difference also
I come from a VM 1.1 and Joomla 1.5 so the concept of Views instead of themes is new to me, I have also tried to uncheck "Using the VirtueMart CSS" any the other boxes bellow with no avail.
I did a Hot install, (Loaded the entire file system to my server and installed Joomla with the added content)
Any help would be great as I'm at a complete loss.
Thanks,
Sean.

Well in 2.0 there are no theme as it was before, vm uses template's css. For example you would find most of vm styling vm_ecommerce.css located in template /css folder

Hi Ivan, as stated i'm aware of this fact, "concept of Views instead of themes is new to me", the problem as I said is that there seems to be no VM styling when I load this template as in the demo and I cannot fix this problem, I have loaded the site again on my Localhost using Hot start installation and still am getting the same result, Is there something i'm missing or not doing?
Thanks.

Maybe it's a problem with your server configuration. Can be anything, but we could not investigate your local computer. You must upload it on the live server, and if you have issues there, give us link to investigate the problem. As you can see, template is working fine on our demo server.

Hi Milos,
Defiantly not my server config, I had it on a live server then also running on Xampp on localhost with the exact same problem, I understand you can not investigate my local computer and have tried the obvious steps before I came so I wouldn't waste anybodys time,
1) So VM not styling, does not change it's styling if default template is changed,
2) Hot Start install on both live server and Local host running Xampp
3) Permissions set to 777 on local host recursively... just incase
Am I missing some configuration in VM 2.0 that needs to be done or should it run just out of the box,
Hope you can help,
Thanks Milos.

Try this,
1. Download chrome browser
2. Load your site
3. Right click , then View Source
4. Locate <link href="....vm_ecommerce.css
5. Click on href value (it will be blue, and presented as link) to be directed to css file directly
6. If you don't see content of that file something is bad because file is not readable or url is bad
