Package Installation Issue

Hi purchased and unpacked the eCommerce template to setup a new site ..using the "Hotstart Installation"

Running
Wampserver 2.1
PHP ver 5.5 and also tried ver 5.2.11

I seem to be getting an error whilst joomla is creating the SQL database
Not sure how to fix this problem .. Ive attached the error message

Make sure you have MySQL5 installed. I strongly recommend using XAMPP for testing on Windows: www.apachefriends.org/en/xampp-windows.html

Milos, I'm running MySQL ver 5.5.8
took your advice and downloaded xamp to replace wamp and messed up my datatbase of the previous joomla site I was working on ...
anyway back to wamp 2.1 x32

Still having this creation of database issue in MySQL.
I a novice when it comes to MySQL and tried to go through documention from MySQL in relation to this problem but couldn't work out what the problem could be.

well now that I've lost the previous joomla/VM site I had started, I'm just going to use the eCommerce template I purchased and modify that to my needs. Once I manage to fix this problem, I think should be ok to carry on..

Oh also I checked phpMyAdmin ... the database I want to creat shows up, however there are no tables in it ..
not sure where else to look

Make sure you did not change wa89g_ database prefix during HotStart installation.

Also, can you install regular Joomla (clean) on this server? Sorry, I can't help you much because I don't have access of your local computer.

ok ... no the "wa89g_" was not renamed ..
I've just created a new fresh joomla install , and everything went great .. no MySQL issues like the eCommerce template.

So I can only say that there's something in the template/install package which is causing the database not to be created ..

Just to confirm the template was built for joomla 1.5 or 1.6 ??
I'm using 1.5 because VM hasn't been released for 1.6 yet
