To move Joomla from server to server, beside copying files, you must:

1. Copy MySQL database
2. Edit Joomla's configuration.php file
3. Edit VM's virtuemart.cfg.php file

Did you do all that?

Oh Milos,
One other thing,
For some strange reason now all of the product pictures are showing up full size and severely messing up the front-end. I have "Dynamic Resizing" checked, as it had always been. I checked the PHP information and there is support for GD ver 2.0.34
Where else should I be looking at resizing these images?

Maybe you turned on SEF so links to css files changed, and are now broken?
If that is case you should configure .htaaccess not to mess with image, script and css files links.

Hi Ivan,
Thanks for having a look for me..
  • Plug-in - "System-SEF" is disabled
  • Global Configuration - "SEF URL" is set to NO

Yesterday I had an issue with something else, looked through the forum and Milos mentioned in one of his replies a fix by renaming the htaaccess.txt
Apart from that there really wasn't anything else I did.
So any SEF extensions cannot be used on this template?
I was looking for an extension to shorten the URL as it appears on the front-end.. As it is the URL appear like 1 mile long

Example ... www.1stopledshop.net/index.php?page=shop...irtuemart&Itemid=147

Can I do away with the entire category IDs, Virtuemart IDs etc?? Is there not a way where the URL shows a much more abbreviated URL?
