Scripts are sticky to browser cache maybe browser accepted new jquery just when you did that.

I'm not familiar with "Sticky"
Could you point me to where I should be looking .. Or what I should be looking at modifiying

I found the culprit !!!!

It a componentI installed called REDMYSTIC ... RedMystic is both a product directory and Google Merchant Center/Base feed system
Somehow this altered the database wa89g_vm_product_file and replaced all the valid product image URL with a localhost/1stop URL.
It created 2 XML files which I presume uploaded to Google .. thus the massive number of 404 errors being reported.
I replaced all the URL in the XMLs .. and change all the entries in the MySql DB (manually, because I don’t understand MySQL too well) and now everything is working fine again ...
I’m not sure where this RedMystic got the Localhost URL from ... I did a
code search using DreamWeaver for that localhost string and it didn’t come up in any of the PHP or HTML files ..
