:( Just want to let Hot Joomla developers know that the 0.96 admin template layout inside Joomla 2.5.8 is all screwed up. 0.95 looks perfect but in 0.96 now the admin layout is all out of whack.

I actually couldn't upgrade because I got this error......

Joomla kept throwing out this error message: "Template Install: There is already a Template using the named directory: Install. Are you trying to install the same template again?"

Then I tried installing a new version of Sparky on a new version of Joomla 2.5.8 locally (not on a shared host) (not that working locally matters, of course) and now its showing an ugly layout and i cannot work with the product.

Version 0.96a of Sparky is corrupt. Please download version 0.96 instead from code.google.com/p/sparkyframework/downloads/list

Milos,

Thank you for looking into this. I knew I wasn't crazy :woohoo:

So for future (non-corrupt) releases all I have to do is install updates like 0.96 over the current version for changes to take affect, right?

Thank you again for the great support and for creating such a user friendly website building product. My clients are going to be very pleased.

This is how I personally do the upgrades. If you found out that new version is available, change folder where your sparky is to sparky-backup. Then create new sparky folder and unzip new sparky files inside.

Your sparky settings won't be changed as they are kept in database.

If something went wrong, you can simply delete new sparky folder and rename sparky-backup to sparky.

Thank you for this. I'll give your method a try and see how it goes. Any other thoughts or details you can provide that aren't below please do tell. I'm assuming what you mention below is all done from FTP outside of the Joomla admin?

Thanks again!

Yes, FTP is recommended, in example free Filezilla program for FTP. You can also do file management through Joomla using Joomla Extplorer component.
