FileZilla is exactly what I use. Thanks! One last thing and I'll be off to the races ;)

I got to thinking a little further about your upgrade method below and have a few comments/questions:

Once I do your mentioned upgrade method via FTP THEN log back into your Joomla admin do you have to assign the newly named Sparkey upgrade as default template?

And I understand the database won't change but won't the DESIGN from the previous Sparky-backup NOT be used since I'm assigning the newly renamed Sparky upgrade as default???

Just unsure of HOW I can upgrade yet still keep a clients original design in tact.
Will your method accomplish this? I guess I'll need to test it.

If you just overwrite template you don't have to do anything except maybe refresh browser with ctrl+f5

Okay so then overwriting won't remove my existing layout that I built using sparky? Sorry for what seems like a simple question but want make sure.

Can you please create a screencast and show me the best steps to upgrade? I use this product when I show tutorials to clients all the time: www.screencast-o-matic.com/screen_recorder

It really would help me understand better if I see what you are talking about.

I know it seems like I'm asking a lot but this would truly help other non technical users out a lot.

Thanks!

I had a Jquery and/or mootools conflict when I had two menus on the same page so I installed a Plugin called jquery Easy www.simplifyyourweb.com/index.php/downlo...ory/8-loading-jquery

and used an older version of Jquery 1.3 latest and it resolved the conflict. I'm working localhost so not sure if that matters but wanted to inform you that Sparky has a jquery conflict when two menus are on the same page and I solved it using the Plugin above.

Thanks

Actually Sorry that extension was really nice but didn't solve the problem. I still have a Jquery conflict when two drop down menus are on the same page!! Please help. The drop downs flicker weirdly.

I'm working local host with MAMP installed but that shouldn't matter and I'm using the latest version of Sparky 0.97a

Thanks!!!
