So weird, do you think its a problem with your iPad? Can you load any other websites on your iPad? It must be an iPad issue then. So what should I do with my clients website so that it loads on an iPad? Any recommendations to make it lighter in memory?

Okay thanks for the information. I guess moving forward I'll have to try and minimize adding features that make the website heavier. How can I tell if duplicate JS files, Jquery etc are running? Maybe I can download some kind of "mobile optimization" plugin for Joomla 3.2.1?

I noticed not just yours, lot of sites lately crashes on my ipad. generally displaying images is most memory consuming thing. Especially image css3 like animations.

Okay thanks for the clarification. The images display is the staple of DGI's website so I will not be able to remove them. Do you think my idea about a mobile optimization plugin, component or module is worth trying? I haven't done any research in the JED but maybe it would help compress the scripting for mobile without killing the site.

Such thing could be helpful. You are talking about some service that prepares images sizes based on device you look at them?
