I did use the validator and indeed i got an error telling me that "content type is text/html,text/html, which is not currently supported by this service".
You see the thing is i got about a dozen other php sites on the same server that are working flawlessly. I also (for test purposes) installed a clean copy of Joomla 2.5 and it works perfectly. No complaints from the validator either.

So what can it be?
My installation procedure is as described inthe attached PDF--> Unzip hotstart to a directory, create a database, install example data-->finnished. Without doing any modifications to the hot start installation i receive the error.
Code:
www.sanda.nu

My PHP version is 5.3.19, i run IIS 7.5 Windows 2K8 R2. I tried both with URL-rewrite and without. No difference.

Your hosting server represents php file as mime type text/html instead of web application, contact hosting administrator

Hello Ivan, i suspected that this is the case, that something is wrong with the server. Unfortunately i am the server administrator  and i have no clue on how to fix this.
I run a NLB cluster of 2 Win2K8 R2 Machines with shared configuration. I run Web Platform Installer 4.0 and installed via Web Platform installer PHP 5.3.19 and 5.4.9.

Do you have any clue on where i should make changes ?
Thank you in advance,
Mike

P.S. How come other Joomla sites run just fine on the same machine?

I'am don't know, I'am IIS guy. Google for "NLB cluster configure MIME type mappings" or something like that

Uhhmmm... i just stated i run an IIS 7.5 server. The NLB has nothing to do with mime types.
PHP files are defined on the server and handled by FAST-CGI as they should be. I run a dozen other Joomla sites on that server without any problems. I checked and double checked the settings on my server.
It has to be in the hot flashes template somewhere.
I am open to any suggestions on modifications that might help.
Thank you
/Mike

You need to configure "Handler mappings" and "mime types". Also one easy workaround is to downloada "Microsoft Web Installer" , and let it install some dummy joomla, because it will also configure that automatically.
