Very simple.
See the screen capture where I have put OPTIMIZATION and then see HOE SEO is showing over my picture.
I WANT OPTIMIZATION to show as it is a parent menu item.
I do NOT want SEO (THE ONE IN WHITE )to show until someone clicks or hovers over the MAIN PARENT ITEM
Seems pretty clear now I hope.

If you go to our demo page:
demo.hotjoomlatemplates.com/flashes
you will see that default Joomla menu item (Home Page in our case) shows all submenu items with or without hovering. The same is valid if you go Typography > Collection of Styles. In this case active Joomla menu item is Typography and it will stay opened with or without hovering.
This is how template works and this can't be changed.
If you want no submenus to be opened when someone visits home page of your site, you can make default Joomla menu item (home page) without sub menu items (without children). In this case, your home page will not show any sub menu items.

Thanks for your time.
I actually knew that, I was hoping maybe someone knew a line of code to add to change.
I will hack it myself.
