I have a problem forwarded to me by the SEO company Please see below:
[
And this one:Our tech team have tried to create the articles page in the footer of the site. They've come across an issue where the link created in the footer isn't appearing the same way on the live version of the site.
It should be:
www.ajaxbuilders.co.uk/index.php?option=...&view=article&id=221
However if you scroll down a click on the articles page in the footer, it redirects to the home page. This technical issue could also effect the individual articles redirecting to the home page. Do you work with a web developer that can resolve this? We do work with a developer incase you don't.
A little ahead of schedule but as we are talking technical I have attached your SEO health check report as I think it's worth while knowing the issues we have come across which could effect our progress with results. The sooner these issues can be resolved the better. I have provided a summary on a few of the points that failed in the report or could be improved on:
URL Canonicalisation Test Failed - ✘
Canonicalisation describes how a site can use different URLs for the same page. This is important because if www.ajaxbuilders.co.uk and ajaxbuilders.co.uk displays the same page but doesn’t resolve to the same URL, search engines will be confused about which URL to index, this can lead to duplicate content issues.
broken links

Could you please help me with above?

Link in your footer is not correct. Link www.ajaxbuilders.co.uk/index.php?id=221 is not valid in Joomla.
Regarding the canonical URLs, this is known problem and it's related to Joomla, not our templates. Everybody in Joomla community believe it will be resolved with new Joomla router which would be available in one of the later Joomla versions.

Milos

Thanks for this
I have 1 more question. I would like to have navigation arrows in articles but only between sub menus like services is a parent menu so the arrows would allow to navigate between articles with in services menu. Similar with recent projects menu. Please see below:
Web address is
ajaxconstruction.co.uk/

I am not sure if you will achieve what you need, but our framework allows you to add arrow icons for parent menu items. Please edit template settings and under Menus tab, enable Arrows option for Drop-down menu.
This is what you can have out-of-the-box. If you need something else, customization of our framework code will be necessary.
Best regards,
Milos

These navigation buttons are not related to menu items at all. Previous and next menu items are related to previous and next articles from the same category.
