Blank Site page after Hot Start Installation

I just installed the Hot Start for Responsive Portfolio using Filezilla. Things seemed to go well in that I changed all the permissions as instructed and removed the installation directory, etc.

I can log into the Admin area of the installation but when I view the site on the front end, I only get a blank white page. No error message or anything and nothing in the address bar but my .com domain address.

I've checked the template is enabled and the default template is selected properly. I'm not sure what I'm missing. The admin area seems to be working with no issues at all. Just the site home page is a blank white page.

Any ideas?

If you did not install sample data during installation that could happen. Are sou sure you did that?

Yes, I went a head and deleted everything and redid the HotStart again. I came up with the same issue. I made sure I installed the sample data.
Any other suggestions?

Which joomla do you use 2.5 or 3.1 , if 3.1 which sample data did you select to install?

I did Joomla 2.5
My host is 1and1, PHP ver. is 5.4
During installation I selected MySQLi
This is a new hosting account with 1and1.
It's weird, I haven't this problem before.
