Milos,
Thanks for taking the time to help me out on this. I will use the work around that you have suggested above to get my by for now.
Any suggestion on an actual calendar that I can get to look somewhat like my articles the way I have them set up that I can insert into that section that will allow others to add events and then they will sort correctly?
Thanks again for all your help with this.

I think your website needs an Events Calendar component, such as jEvents:
www.jevents.net/
, but this will require more time/experience to set up.
To allow more people to add articles on your site, you need to set up user accounts: docs.joomla.org/User_Group_Access_levels...ined_in_simple_terms
Finally, you should create a Menu item (link) with type "Article Submission Layout" where your authors should go to submit new articles.
I think a good book about Joomla will help you because things become more complicated if you have more than one author on the site.

I have now moved to 2.5 and it is configured a little different. I can't find where I make my adjustments to do the same thing with my articles as I did with the 1.5.
Where do I find parameters?

I am trying to recreate this from a post post here at the start of this thread. I did this to make my articles work for me in 1.5 but can't figure it out in 2.5
Menu
Top Menu
Home Page
Parameters (Advanced)
Category Order - No, Order by Primary Order Only
Primary Order - Title (alphabetical)
