If it does not work, try to upgrade to RC3 version first using this file "com_virtuemart2.0.0_RC3_Pre_K_extract_first.zip" and then to 2.0.0 stable using this file: "com_virtuemart.2.0.0_extract_first.zip".

Also, don't forget to download and copy updated Joomla template files!

Wait why wouldn't I use the Pre_K file?

"If your current VirtueMart version is 1.9.8 (any letter before K), download file "com_virtuemart2.0.0_Pre_K_extract_first.zip""

Oh sorry I see what you are saying.

1.) "com_virtuemart2.0.0_RC3_Pre_K_extract_first.zip"
2.)"com_virtuemart_ext_aio.2.0.0.zip"
Uninstall AIO
3.) com_virtuemart.2.0.0_extract_first.zip

However I'm fairly confident this is what I did the first time (minus step 3). Also where do I download the updated Joomla files? I logged in to the Hot Template website and just re downloaded the hot cosmetic file that that was available then overwrote the files shown in the blog.

Thanks again for your time.

I will give it a shot, but first I need to re install the backup. I am still a little confused on what you mean by 'update joomla template files'. Where is the updated joomla template file?

Thanks again.

To update the template files, you should do the following:

Download new version of VirtueMart based template from Hot WebDesign Templates.
Unzip the package, and unzip the template package (hot_templatename17.zip).
Using FTP software, upload files:
/templates/hot_templatename/html/com_virtuemart/category/default.php (overwrite original file)
/templates/hot_templatename/css/vm_templatename.css (overwrite original file)
/templates/hot_templatename/css/template_css.css (overwrite original file)
/templates/hot_templatename/css/template_css.php (overwrite original file)
