How to order each section of the page

I have tried to edit articles to use the Articles Manager as a way to sort the articles order but cannot figure it out. Can someone please help?

In article manager there is ordering column, fist click on header and afret that tiny save icon will appear and in all rows ordering field will become inputbox

Sorry, but I am using Joomla 3.0.

In article manager you can sort articles by "Ordering", then you will be able to drag and prop rows to reorder articles (drag tree vertical small black dots at very left of row)

That is what I thought but the articles do not appear in the same order as in article manager. I have tried to move things around but now the page is messed up and the "contact us" moved to the third spot instead of the end. It is not making any sense as to the positioning.

My menus are the proper order, it is just the order of each section is wrong and not in the same order as my menu and how it appears within article manager.

Hopefully that makes sense.

try to click rebuild after you set order
