hot start process not producing demo site

Hi, I have gone through process and installed the "cars hot start" template - everything seemed to go ok. Once finished joomla install process (and yes installed sample data) I clicked on site view and the normal joomla template appeared. I went in to admin and the cars template was not there?

my understanding is the hot start install is supposed to produce the demo site as is? is that correct? is it a problem with the hot start pack? thanks in advance !

using cars template for 1.6 have also tried the wellness host start pack and same result.

its a private url, the install was followed as per instruction and it did not produce demo site as is, what to do ? thanks Mike

Check your file and folder permissions.

Check your database settings.

I have checked and nothing there suggests there would be an issue. For reference i have installed other joomla sites and no issue.

I have gone through two hot start templates cars and wellness for 1.6 - both have the same issue. the DB is being setup, the install process "SEEMS" work well, its only installing default joomla information, no information is installed in the DB about either template - I have checked the tables manually - given the joomla default information is being installed there is no issues with permissions on the directories or files.. its seems simply the hot start does not insert data for or load the extensions that its supposed to.

can you verify that the hot start packs are actually working as they are supposed to?

It's verified. Please install it on live server and give access to our support staff.
